I have a 1994 Fzj80 and after driving for about 5 minutes I can feel and hear vibration grinding noise coming from the drivers side floor board (block you rest your foot on) . It happens at idle and when driving. The noise vibration is getting progressively worse. It does not impact speed or performance. There is no rhyme or reason for the noise vibration to start.

I opened the hood and felt the fuel lines and they were vibrating too. I have changed the fuel pump, fuel pump regulator and fuel pressure regulator, resister, charcoal canister, gas cap about 6 months ago.

This symptom was happening on occasion and now it seems to be getting worse. Any ideas on what this could be?Thank you

Did you replace the fuel pump with an OEM or aftermarket brand?

After driving for a while (sometimes after only a few min) I can feel my fuel pump running on high. When I come to a stop the fuel pump is still running on high (I can feel the vibration in the floor board in my left foot (USA) ). Just now I am waiting out side the grocery store with the truck running and it started to run high again.

I replaced the fuel pump resistor and fuel pump relay. The fuel pump is a few months old. When should the fuel pump run on high? Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks guys

Have you actually monitored fuel pump voltage at the FP terminal of the diagnostic while driving before and after the symptom?

Fuel pump voltage is high during startup and when engine goes under load. No specific length of time but the system is described in the FSM.

How have you determined it is the fuel pump making the noise? The in-tank fuel pump is located a long distance from the left foot footwell, inside the tank with rubber mounts and the tank is mounted to the frame not the body.

I would loosen or remove the gas cap and take a test drive to see what happens.

I have a little device to monitor. I will check that tomorrow

The vibration / noise is coming from the metal fuel lines that run along the under side of the car. Last time it happened I opened the hood (with the car running) and felt the fuel lines and they were vibrating. I then took the gas cap off and it did not make a difference.

Thanks

I replaced the gas cap think that would do something but no change. The noise happens when I am at idle or driving. It can be for a few minutes or seconds and I hear feel it more often. I am at a loss...
