Fuel Injector Replacement (1 Viewer)

I tried searching and it didn't seem that Fuel Injectors go bad very often on our Cruisers. Mine on Cylinder 1 did, and I will be replacing it tomorrow along with new seals and gaskets on the other three. I would normally replace all eight, but with them being $150 a pop and the fact that I couldn't find to many failing I opted for replacing just this one.

Who else on here experienced an injector failing? Did you replace just the one or all 8? Also FYI i am at about 192K.

Pardon Our Interruption...

Went to Denso parts website and they don't make fuel injectors for our 200 series.... wondering what's the story. Anyone else heard of Denson Injectors? I have them for my coil packs, but can't find anything outside of Amazon and eBay for these.

You could also pull the others and send them to RC Engineering for cleaning/balancing if you have time. They are super quick about turnaround. I had the injectors done on my LS and they were out by quite a bit. Strongly considering pulling mine at 150k miles for a checkup.

So I have an issue with a 2010 5.7 Tundra and it sets off a #2 misfire, I replaced coil and all 8 plugs with Denso for both.

2 days later it throwing same code and running rough.

I am having my mechanic swap the #2 injector to another cylinder to see if the misfire follows

Anyone else seen this?

PS-I know this is for a Tundra in the 200 series section, but since it's the identical engine I am hoping someone on the 200 Forum has seen this

Before swapping an injector, your mechanic can measure the resistance at the BCM first. That’s how I diagnosed the two that I swapped in our gen2 4Runner prior to pulling intake and fuel rails, etc.
