These are coming soon. I'm working with Affordable Fuel Injection to make custom harnesses and adapters designed by me specifically for your cruiser. No more trying to figure out how to get everything to work. It will come as much plug and play as I possibly can make it. Plus there are newer systems in the works. Expandable units to allow for multiple engine configurations. Throttle by wire. Fully waterproof units..... So keep checking back. The basic TBI system will be available for sale starting next month. The later systems will be this summer.

That's very cool. Any word on the smog status of this for California (and other states)?

Smog status will probably be non existent. From my side. I'm working on it but it will be a long, long way off due to all the red tape and hurdles you have to go through.

Don't tease me! Also standing by for pricing.

Hi All:

I'd guess US$1500.00 would be a good starting point.

x2 I need to know how much to save. I would love to go FI.

You are correct though knowing me it will be way under that price.

Way under 1500.00 sounds like I will be buying one. Do you have any rough numbers as far as performance increases. My sole purpose would not be for performance but it would be nice to get some more horses out of the ol girl with an FI setup.

How do these compare to the Downey units? (I.E):

Do you still use a 4.3 TB?

What about the ECM?

I started piecing together a Downey system a few years ago, but this seems to be a lot less painful. I would still like to use my adaptor and TB, but everything else is up in the air.

FI would have to reduce emissions, I would think... There's lots of CARB-approved FI systems for HeeP and Chevy applications.
A much smaller population of old Toyotas though.

this is awesome, a definite purchase for my piggy resto, will the early basic tbi systems be as good as the ones you come out with later?? interested in one for a 2f, if we already have one of your carbs I am guessing we will have to replace that with the new tbi unit? a complete tbi kit would be very cool.

I'll be watching this thread....

Watching and waiting... Would like to know more info.

Subscribed! Thinking about doing a tbi in the future on my 2f. I need to study up on he whole setup.

Will it need (or benefit from) any extra sensors? Any need to weld bungs/tap holes for O2 sensors on the exhaust? Or is it going to be dirt-simple?

Your going to have to weld a bung for an o2 sensor. The kit will come with a bung and a plug so you can have any muffler shop weld it on an cap it until your ready.
