This is the TJM bumper off my '99. The front of the '06 is different and is not a just a bolt on. With the new style headlights there is a hidden valance that ties the headlights together under the factory bumper. I didn't think it would be a good idea to remove it. I had to do metal surgery on the bumper to get it to fit but I'm happy with the way it came out. It will need to be refitted when I install the 1/2" BL but at least now I know it will fit. Approach angle has increase to 41 degrees with the bumper.

What do you think about painting it the same color as the Cruiser?:hhmm:

looks good. my cruiser is also silver and if i had aftermarket bumpers, i'd paint them a darker shade than the body, but not as dark as black, maybe some kind of smoky silvery gray. something that's available in spray can for quick touch-ups. i would also paint my peeling plastic door protectors with the same color to match.

Looks great! But what size tires are those?

I'm having a friend photoshop color but I'm thinking Hammered Silver. A little texture and a little darker then the Cruiser.

what size lift do you have right now? and where'd you get the 1/2" BL from?

I like the black...what size tires and/or lift? looks tall:)

Lift = AHC, not that high 21" Hub to fender - 35's just make it look tall

Paint it the same color of the rear bumper, or the older one that is the same, not the same color of the truck...

The truck looks fantastic! I like the bumper painted to match unless you plan to add sliders, rear bumper, roof rack, etc. Then keep it black to match that stuff. My truck was black so my bumper matched automatically! :D

Leave it black. Paint-matching is for posers! ;)

Seriously, looks more purposeful, easier to touch up. Especially, as someone else said, you plan on sliders and rear bumper.

match your body molding. Black makes it disappear. Body-matching's a little too much. Matched molding makes it look like what it is, an accessory to the truck.

My PS skillz suck.

Black only looks good on Pint's truck... ;);p

Thanks Rob for the new color:beer:

I agree the same color as the body is too much:princess:

Even though I have a 4x4 labs bumper in the garage I would like to try somthing other then black. The factory rear looks to be a shade or 2 darker then the trim:idea:

 did you really just post that?

I know, it's the 100s forum, I should probably put on the good ol' asbestos suit now...
