Anyone having good luck with strut assembly where the bushing does not collapse? I installed correctly (torqued at ride height) and the bushings still failed within 2 weeks. They are FCS off of Rockauto. (don't roast me). I am wondering if Monroe's are good or not? Everyone says "OEM", and I agree, but I wouldn't know what those would be as far as these assemblies. I wish they made a polyurethane bushing for the bottom of the shocks. That would be my solution.

This is what I have been hearing. I juts need to find a decent shop to replace them. I don't want to mess with compressing the spring. Anyone do their own? Time to look up spring compression tools.

Yes, it's relatively easy if you can wrench. Get the free rentals from O'Reillys
I'll purchase the one's Josh used on his 1st Gen Offroad vid. I just didn't like the idea of the compressed spring, but seems alright. 5100s it is. Thanks guys.

Yup. 5100s on mine too. I beat the tar out of my truck too, and they’ve been rock solid.

Eibach PRO-TRUCK-LIFT Stage 1

Had one shock leak, but Eibach covered it with thier "life time" warranty.
Overall very happy.

I have Eibach coils on my Sequoia. The spring rate is perfect. I’d have to double check the shocks, but I’m pretty sure they’re 5100s too.

I have Dobinsons and haven’t had any issues in about six years. The bushing has crushed a little bit, but is otherwise intact without any tears or splits. I may consider turning a solid bushing of some sort if/when the time comes, but haven’t given it any thought beyond that.
