The plastic housings (not the buckles themselves, but the plastic "pillar" assembly that they sit in) on both of my front belts are all cracked and beat up. Is there a good aftermarket replacement available (or better yet, an actual fix) for these?

True, but I haven't found any suitable bolt-in replacement for the female ends that are at all even similar to the OEM ones.New belts aren't that expensive and 30 year old, sun bleached nylon will only have a fraction of its original strength. I understand the desire to keep things stock but I don't think quality aftermarket belts degrade resale.
