drive shaft snagg.

Hi

I just fitted the slee offroad 6" kit and on my landcruiser and the front drive shaft that came with the kit is to long :crybaby: , probably becouse i got a manual transmision and most of you drive automatic transmition. ;p

does any of you have the stock lenght of the front driveshaft?

Il ad some pictures so you can se the result

the clear lights are from Mot here and slee realy impresses me with this kit, there are no vibration what so ever and the rig handles real good.

im sending the part in for machinng monday so i just want to compare the stock lenght VS slee's lenght.

The best I can do for you is an in-situ measurement from the end of the driveshaft flange (at the transfer case) to the end of the fluted sleeve that covers where the slip yoke slids over the driveshaft splines. And that measurement is 25 1/2" (+ or - 1/32"). Does that do you any good?

I don't have an answer to you question, I just wanted to say SWEEEEET LOOKIN RIG!

elmariachi slee is curently out on moab and wont be back before the 9'th

Rookie2 that helps a lott, mine are apox. 22 1/2"

MB thanx.

Your truck looks to have locking hubs, is it part time 4x4? If so the original shaft may work fine. The CV type shaft is mainly used to correct the vibration that lifted full time 4x4 trucks have at highway speed, if your front drive is only used at lower speeds you may never experience vibration?

jepp its part time 4wd but i use it all winter here, and therfor i dont have the problem now but i surely will get it to the winter .i alvays think its better to fix something right away insted of waiting to til it's to late.
and we still have a couple of frostnights intil the midnight-sun is completly upp for summer :D
