I thought that you had to run that shield for proper spacing?:meh:

not sure what it would space....it's sheet metal, no 'reinforcement' like a FJ40, and locates outside the spindle...if anything, the spindle bolts now go 1/16" deeper...no biggie...
 
spindle design is different...there is a 'ridge' that will cause the dust shield to deform if you don't space it out.

left: FJ40....or minitruck....not sure really, it was on the shelf along with a dozen others....note the ridge just inside the bolt holds...

right: FZJ80...or what's left....no ridge (hhmm....maybe I should save that bearing...)

That bearing is questionable for a spare wheel bearing but it would make a good muffler bearing with the added heat treating and all.
