This is version 1 of my Tilt slide.
Goal is to keep everything very simple.

There is a spring in the rear pushing the fridge forward to keep it locked in place.

The rails are slim enough that I can put the mattress on top of it.

nice work! Thats all angled steel, with the fridge frame rolling on the carpet? I like that it stays strapped down, and can be removed completely from the vehicle.

Brilliantly simple, hadn't thought of the coiled power cord. I knew I was keeping that piece on the
wall for a reason.
Curious, what size fridge is that? What model?

Thanks its a Dometic CFX40 40 liter

Fridge needs to come to use the sleeping platform.

I'm guessing you'll need some sort of spring or pin to keep that latch latched. I like the simplicity of the design!

Are them just small roller bearings that this is sliding on? Very nice, simple idea!

There is a silicone toy in back pushing the fridge forward until I find the right spring.

Does your missus know you are mis-treating her toys?

Very simple! I like it.

I've been kicking around ideas for a tilting fridge slide for a while. You've just inspired me in a whole different direction.

This has got to be the best fridge slide design I've ever seen! Thank you so much for sharing this! Do you have a part number or some other sourcing information for the bearings?

Also, just curious, what do you do with the fridge when you're using the platform for sleeping?

Just look for sealed bearing like for skateboard wheels or rollerblade wheels. You can find large packs for cheap. Or go to your local skate shop.

Its funny that I found this thread. I was thinking of doing something similar to my fridge, since I just got some drawers with roller bearing slides. Except my fridge is huge and heavy. But we will see what I can come up with when I have more time.

This is awesome. I think it may convince me to build this instead of a regular slide... the fact that you can take the whole thing out and its not a big deal makes it perfectly versatile in my set up where maybe during the week I don't want a cooler in the car but I want to have the ability to load it in quick and head out for a weekend, even just a day trip without having to sacrifice half my cargo area for the fridge 100% of the time.

Can you take some photos of the angles and how the bearings move in the space between the two?
