‘48 Chevy coupe @ $185
Dual carbs, split manifold, glass packs, GMC big 6, several red and white Naugas gave their hides for the interior. Faded red with primer accents. Bought it with paper route and lawn mowing money off the way back row of the local Chevy dealer after it was traded in on a Fiat 500. I was just one of a string of local high school hot rodders who owned the “Love Buggy”
‘54 Chevy 2 dr. @$450
Pristine one owner found few weeks later by my uncle after my widowed mother’s shock and awe seeing the “Love Buggy” and its impact on her eldest.
‘31 Model A pickup @ $50
Bought it from a buddy headed to ‘Nam. Stayed in the family since then and gifted back to my son and I. Last licensed in ‘69. Final stages of clearing garage space to see if it can be saved and put back on the road. Hacked up mess but the engine turns.
That’s actually three cars for 1/3 the cost of the new fridge.
