Fox 2.0 985-24-066/067 review

I got the shocks and spacer lift installed on Saturday. Initially I only had 1/2" of rake, and could definitely feel the "floaty" feeling others have described. I brought it back down to 1" rake, and it pretty much all went away. I'm kind of surprised that small of an adjustment would have that big of an impact. My upper shock bolts were impenetrable and I had to cut holes to use my impact. Once I was able to get them off the rest of the install was pretty easy overall. I did notice my springs were kinda rusty and had the coating coming off in several places, so new springs will probably be needed sooner rather than later.

As for the ride? I like it. My shocks weren't completely shot, but they were bad, and the difference is noticeable. Since my truck is my DD, I didn't want to go too stiff, and think the Fox will work well. Once I get sliders and skids this summer I may need to swap in the 200 series shocks though.

I was finally able to install my 2.0's again. Fox had them for maybe two weeks total with shipping. I am very satisfied at this point with the re-valve. They provide a much more stable feeling now as compared to before. Don't have much time on them yet, but we will see.

Still running mine have had other project causing interference. I still think I want to try another option.

That's completely understandable I think. Their customer service was great in an attempt to at least fix it. Think I would go with TJM's just to be different!:worms:

Just got mine in along with OME 865's and t-bars. I'll give an update once they're on.

Glad to hear they worked out bwell.

This thread seemed to be the most recent on Fox shocks that I could find.

In another thread, I thought I read that the 200 series 2.5 remote reservoirs style for rears can also be used on 100 series, correct? What is standard for front? Same, 2.5?

Has anyone done this yet? Images? Write up?

I was told the rears will work, but since the fronts on the 200 use a strut design, they won't be compatible.

I just installed Fox 2.0 in the front along with OME torsion bars and the Slee diff drop. The front end feels tighter and more sporty. The shop I got them from gave me 105 series rear shocks. I was going to try and put them on because I think I can get another inch or two out of them than the 100 series ones.

[Edit] I didn't put the rears on because I ran out of time. I'll report back once I have all of them on, on all four corners.

When you get the ones for the 105 installed I'm interested in hearing how you like them.

Oh yes, Coil overs on the 200s, I was meaning do I do 2.5s on the front or 2.0s.

2.0s are the only off the shelf "made" for the 100 series that fox sells for the front.

The re-valved 2.0's are ok. I still don't think they're "right" from other vehicles I've had in the past with entry level performance shocks on them. They are ok on mild wash board, but all most unbearable on serious stuff here in the desert. I'm going to put my stock replacements on the back again to see if I can get a balance between the front and back for the weight I'm running.

Bashing fox was not my intent for any of this, like I said, their customer service was great, I was just trying to get more knowledge of this product for our narrow market aspect. My semi heavy truck was highly unstable initially on the highway.

I will be pursuing an alternative in the coming months when I get some other stuff done. Maybe as far as some universal bilstein series shocks.

Get Iron Man Pro's......trust me.

They've been added to the "list"... Next big expense is going to a set of headers, I can't handle the tick much longer....
Or new tires, I don't know :bang:

I know this old, but how did you like this setup once you got the rear 105 shocks installed?
