I saw a white four door Hilux today on MLK near the university. It had a solid axle under it and was the 84-88 US body style. It looked fairly stock and had New Mexico plates. Does anyone know who this truck belongs too? Don't see too many of those around here.

A neighbor has a 4-door mini. I think it is an 84 but it is charcoal, not white. He said it was a professional conversion done in Kalifornia when the truck was new. I cannot recall if it is 2wd or 4wd. He doesn't wheel it though. I can get more information if you are interested.

there are a few in the US that came in through diplomatic or military channels. I missed a Gov't auction on two mid 90's 3L powered Hiluxes that were brought back by the squadron that bought them overseas and then surplussed them here. The titles were legit, and they were issued 17 digit VINs. Would have been a snap to register them. Too bad I missed the auction by a day. They were bought for scrap and crushed within a day (I called--and got scans of the titles).

Not saying that's how this one got here just saying...

I want one. That is plain to see.

Gov't auction ...

Anybody want a crash tested 2008 FJC? Current bid $1100. That engine would be sweet in something.

Ouch - what happened? Hopefully no one was hurt...

Government crash test. This was done on purpose.
