How much is shipping on the body? "GRIN"

Isn't this up near vancouver?

bazzump

last year's trip was cut short by a relocation. this year it is further to go and i had less time so only a couple of hours

i just got back. in the past couple of years every single bolt and screw on this thing has seized up and so it was tough going. I could not even remove the dash knobs as I couldn't get those tiny retaining screws to turn.

I did get the passenger fender mirror assembly, the rear view mirror with no glass but with a cool add on clip on mount above it that looks to be for sunglasses?, a red pull switch assembly that mounts under the dash that I thought was aftermarket but has a teq logo so I will keep for my 40 if it is a flasher, and some rubber door stops for matt.

the horn stuff inside the steering wheel was gone, and the hood vent was dust.

next time I will take a sawzall and some seafoam because nothing else is coming off just with regular tools. in fact, some of the items I mentioned only came off because the body was so rusted I could metal fatigue them loose.

body is pretty trashed but anything is possible I guess. I'll try to post up some more photos next week.

Does it still have the defroster deflectors along the bottom of the windshield?

i think so. h

Lv defroster ducts are not the same as 40's and 45 pickups. They are also welded in

Any ideas on these parts that I was looking for? I can have you send them to my kid in Cranbrook and pick them up when I'm there.

Still looking for the "ROOM" switch. Anybody got one?

i do if i could figure out how to remove it

If it's like the "WIPER" switch that matches it, there's a slotted set screw for the knob, and a "washer screw" with threads on the inside just under it.

This might be asking to much,if so no problem.Im looking for the roof and pilers, from the wind shield to the pilers just behind the rear seat.If its not rusted out already. thanks

unfortunately i cannot get the set screws to turn on any of the dash knobs trying every tiny screwdriver I had and I came within a hair of stripping the heads on a couple. next time I go I will soak with some kind of penetrating oil. there is no visible corrosion and the inside is bad but I think I need the perfect screwdriver to break them loose.

i would say the roof is in fairly good shape and so are the pillars except around the back windows, but it would be a too much for me to get it off the island and then back to civilization. however, there is a local handy guy/bobbed mini truck owner there who has a truck on the island and would prolly do it for a price and take it to a commercial shipper. are you willing to pay for his time because I am going to guess he will want a couple hundred dollars to do it? I could inquire if you like. you should also factor in the freight from canada.

Hi there, thanks for helping restoring our old trucks, has the glove compartment lid already been taken? thanks in advance

sadly, the whole truck was taken when i checked this summer. the glove box went to a mudder a while back.
