ok

-by tailgate handle do you mean the toyopet chrome handle thing? That is there but whatever went over it is gone.

-i expect the rear seat hardware is all there

-rear upper light assemblies there but lenses busted,
-nobody wants the yellow front indicator lenses?

will report in tomorrow
and ps, i don't want $ for any of this other than shipping but please do not ask for stuff you don't really need. i am on holiday here so i will lose brownie points for the time i spend up there.

As far as the tailgate handle, Yes, that Toyopet chrome handle thing, mine is cracked.

I have no rear seat hardware, need the brackets on the seats, floor and the hinges in between.

I don't care about the lenses, as long as the assembly's are there and gaskets.

And off course all that other stuff I listed in my first post ;) Especially the interior door and window handles and the rings. I have nothing.

I am with Cruiser_guy on this, I am asking for nothing I don't need or have already, wouldn't be fair to the rest of the lv guys. But, I am missing quite a bit of stuff.

This is really great of you to take the time to do this, I'm sure everyone here appreciates it!!

Thanks again, Matt

well nothing came off easy and I can say for sure that a 12 point 3/8” socket is no substitute for a 10mm and a hardware store multihead screwdriver is no substitute for an impact driver. I will sort out who gets what when I have a better internet connection. for now, I managed to get the following off:

4 window handles with donuts (one is missing end knob)
1 inner door handle with donuts (rest are seized fast)
1 outer door handle (ps front door) - not sure if anyone asked for it
3 of the 4 ice rink shaped rubber grommets under the vent windows on front doors (other one is gone)
one complete b pillar dome light assembly with an intact dome! (found on floor :D )
rear ashtray (rusty inside and bent ouside but looks saveable)
dash ashtray (rusty inside)
all 4 rear seat to floor hinges (scissor hinges and front pin hinges)
gas pedal (a tad rusty and looks like a bike kick stand)
toyopet rear door handle assembly complete with gasket
one of the rear tiny disc reflectors without assembly
instrument speedo bezel and instruments complete
glovebox door with bolted on shifter instruction plate
glove box grab handle
both sun visors
transfer case shifter round knob end attached to broken shifter pole

stuff I can get with the right tools next time I’m here includes:

-heater (dang I forgot the part number but it is denso, has 3 controls above and is a box with a slight rounded front plus a black plastic tube part and a weird old fashioned open vent grate in the firewall under glovebox -- it also looks like there is a rear heater located under the ps seat ??)
-some or all of the interior canvas firewall skirt
-door panels except ps front
-dash switrches and lights (but most don’t look original and many seem nautical - I need a photo to know what should be there - is there a stock switch that says “light” or "room” or “W”?)
-rear view mirror (triangular mount on rectangular area so not sure if original and mirror is desilvered)
-rear tail light assemblies with intact but very warn gaskets (quite rusty as remains of lenses were full of h2o)
-rear disc assemblies and gaskets and second reflector disc
-rest of inner door handles (I hope)
-other dome light assembly (but no light)
-inner rear metal kick panels
-3 plates under each side of rear cargo windows, one to catch rear seat, other two maybe held the window slides?
-i could remove the hinge separating the upper and lower rea seats but it is welded to the lower seat frame so i would need to hacksaw it off
-upper tailgate mount on vertical frame of inner window for what looks like a strap (no straps anywhere in truck except a rotted piece of canvas in middle of rear seat)
-front cowl and hood
-yellow turn lenses (nobody asked so i left them - they look original to me)
-front vent windows and dials (very rusty)
-front very sharp up pointed pointy tow hooks (would they be stock??)
-I can try to get the vent between windshield and dash but there was dirt accumulated there and it is virtually rusted through - it does not look a flip up vent as in the photo. it is fixed with multiple narrow slits like the cowl on an 80 or a longer version of the floor vent in a house with a forced air furnace.
-there is one wiper arm with no blade assembly. I thought it was off a boat like a lot of other things on truck so I left it but looking at the photo above it could be the same thing as that

stuff you can forget about

-any other body parts - lots of bondo and no bottom on anything. scary to climb into truck!
-emblems (all gone)
-most rubber glass slides windows gaskets
-bumpers (rear is checkerplate - front looks like bent I beam to me)
-steering wheel (no centre piece and has a chip in it)

truck was originally red, then light blue then dark blue. x66,000 miles on odometer. gas pedal was disconnected and someone had connected up an outboard throttle box

I said before parts were free. After 5 hours work I have reconsidered. parts are instead virtually free. someone has to replace my in-laws' busted hardware store multidriver screwdriver ;) , and I would like to trade parts for very modest amounts of pb blaster, por-15, and auto-rx, none of which I can get in Canada. that said, I will instead accept something like an araco sticker most gladly :D. I will send the stuff and you can inspect it and you can send me back some of these substances at your discretion or nothing if that’s what it turns out the part is worth ;) .

 thank you for doing this. The “light” or "room” is correct for the B pillar light. "w" is the wiper switch.

Here is a pic of the dash. The t handle isn't correct, it would look just like the one next to it. The blank is where the room/map/light switch would be in a Canada spec LV.

Hopefully the Cruiser Gods remember this selfless act well and lavish you with the appropriate Karma. FWIW TreerootCO may need the vin info for the registry. Sad to see/hear of a lost cause rig. But her sacrifices will be well appreciated.

ok it has light and w in that photo plus "room" where the empty plug is but i think the one to the right of the T switch is the wrong one. on the heater switches two say "H" and one says "C"

i also just went back and can add to the haul-
2 x yellow front indicator lenses (they say koito made in japan) on the fender stalks
-one complete wiper assembly with blade i saw under the car - the other one is still there arm only, no blade - can get next time
-both vent windows complete plus the soft metal bits on the post that the window lever braces against -- i did not get the top hinge mounts that attach to the doors. one is missing, the other is frozen to the door. i did get the bits that hold the bottom pin.

I'd like to put in a request for your next trip. And yes I would be more than happy to replace any tools that are busted.

1. Driverside side view mirror.
2. Door stop. Pictured below.
3. Dome light that is in the ceiling.
4. Seat Belts.

Sorry if I am asking for a part that another member has laid claims on. I read through everything, but I'm not perfect and could be making the same request.

Semlin, Don't worry about the ashtray, Rick D. has an extra and was kind enough to let me know. HOWEVER, if no one else needs it, I am missing the "Room" switch on the dash. Thanks.

You said rear reflectors!?!? I'll take those since no one else spoke up!! The vent window upper pivot can't be removed? Bummer, I need one of those. I will take the soft metal bits though.
PM me where the truck is and I'll hit it up with a cordless drill and get that pivot off (provided it's the drivers side that's still there)!!

All U.S. spec 45LV wagons had the plastic plug and no room switch.

the ps side vent window has the pivot frozen to door. i will look for the ds but i think gone.

no ceiling dome light
side view mirrors are on front fenders and all that remains is the mount on ps.
-there are rubber stops that fit in the body at the curve of rear doors but i need a hacksaw because the mounting crews are stripped. the door stops are there but would be a job to get out.

I am interested in the rear lenses... unless they are completely shattered... You stated they are full of water... is this because they are cracked? Tail Light lenses are what I'm talking about.

thanks!

rear main lenses are toast, small reflectors are good

Where do I send the new complete screwdriver set and new socket set too? I am very serious, I have connections in that dept. ;)

By doing this for us lv owners you have reserved yourself a special place in cruiser heaven. ;p

Thanks again and let me know the address to send the tools too, Pm it to me!

Matt

matt and others thanks, but lets makes sure i didn't get you guys a pig in a poke. here are the photos.

Starting with two sides shots and the front

pretty rough huh :D

ok here are some interior shots. the last is looking through the ds side rear view window (or where it used to be). the photo shows the brackets under the windows i mentioned. ignore th coat hook. i'm pretty sure that is not oem. notice the sticker on the dash above the light above the "room" light it looks oem and says something about checking something monthly.

ok now for the engine bay. I doubt anything useful abides there. plus there is the toyotpet handle and a shot showing the interior door panels and handles
