I rode in an old Ford truck (maybe early 90’s) that had ridiculously fast power windows. It really blew my mind how lighting quick they were.

^^^^ That's because they have a real, live window motor. Huge by comparison to what we have in our cruiser.
The windows are not only 'fast'....but powerful too. You don't want to have your hand/arm out the window when it goes up.
I love my Cruiser...but even when the windows are working correctly, they suck compared to certain other vehicles.
My '90 Model Bronco doesn't begin to compare to my Cruiser in any other category, but when it comes to having good, fast, reliable power windows....it wins hands down.
Edit to add pics and comment:
The Ford (OEM) window motor is 'big' by any standard. Almost as large as the motor on a small ATV winch. I timed the driver's side window on my Bronco and on my Land Cruiser. Both windows retract and raise approximately 19", but the L/C window is about 8" wider.
The Land Cruiser has a fairly new window motor in it. The Bronco window motor is at least 15 yrs. old (last time I changed it). The L/C I keep pretty clean (window glass and silicone spray the channels), the Bronco is a ranch vehicle and is covered in dirt and dust most of the time.
The Bronco: Window went down is just under 2.5 seconds. Window went up in just over 2.5 seconds.
The Land Cruiser: Window went down in right at 3 seconds (so not that different from the Bronco). Window went up in just a tad over 4 seconds.
