Thinking of putting a pair of leather power seats from an Explorer in my 60.

If any of you have an Explorer, could you look to see how they would fit in a 60 with stock center console?

Any other advice on this would be helpful.

Thanks,

Exploder power seats

Mike -
Have you sat in these seats for any length of time? Most American car seats are like overstuffed Barcaloungers with little or no support. I'd go for anything northern European before anything American. My plan is Audi 5000/100/200 Quattro sport seats since my back has been formed to them over the years & they have excellent heaters (become accustomed to them, too).

If the Ford seats are free, take 'em! I think you'll find they'll fit fine. I see at least a couple of these trucklets a week, & I think they're probably narrower inside than a 60.

I had an Explorer for a while. Now have an Expedition with these type leather seats. They are great on long drives (10 to 14 hours). So I thought they might be nice in the cruiser. They are not free, but they are not much either.

The Audi and Volvo look really good too, but I have not seen any that were exactly cheap. My current seats are in good shape, but I could use power lumbar support, etc.

seats

I didn't have the leather seats but the grey cloth. I took out the bench seats in my fj55 and put in the used ford seats. They fit with no problems and I only needed to make two small tabs for the front oo the bracket for mounting. I like the power seats, they have a lot of travel range.

Thanks!!
