Yes this is home improvement if you have a dog that needs this.

I took my new pup to the cleaners today and while shampooing her I watched a video on this dog brush and was amazed. My lab does not shed that much, but my Red Healer is a mess and constantly brushing her outside.

Well I got home tonight and flopped her on the ottoman and started at it. Granted this is about 70% as she would not sit, lay or be pulled on anymore tonight. My :princess: about fell over when she saw the box I had filled and yes it settled a bit, it is about 9 inches deep.

There is no brand on the brush, so I have pics for those who might want one.

Idave needs one!:flipoff2:

Yep

My wife bought one of those a few years ago. I think it was called "The Furminator". Anyway, they work good, but the sharp edge at the bottom of the comb will dull quickly, and it loses its effectiveness.

Maybe it's just because we used it on all 3 Shepherds. I bet we had a truck load of hair in the yard after the first 2 weeks.

Kind of like a mini curry comb that is used on horses. We've got one of those expensive rainbow vacumes, wouldn't believe how much our lab sheds until the basin is dumped.

That's exactly what I use on my Labs, expecially after a bath. They love it and it never needs sharpening. :D

I have used these in the past and liked them, but this new brush is crazy. Crap, that's a box full of hair and she is NOT matted or an outside dog.

Tell me about that vaccuum. My Siberian Huskies can each fill 2 paper grocery bags with loose fluff per month, x2.

the dog hair does get out of control, but having a shopvac and all wood or tile floors does help...

I'll be on the prowl looking for a comb like that....
