I'm selling my M716 trailer b/c I just bought another trailer. The M716 is basically a flatbed version of the American M416, or Canadian M101. I'm giving first dibs at this to UC members. Here is some info.
- 3/4 ton trailer
- Tires are in good condition which is nice b/c they can be pricey - it has very stiff sidewalls. When I bought the trailer there was zero air pressure, yet I was still able to easily pull the trailer about 5 miles to a gas station without any trouble
- Pulls straight as an arrow, doesn't bounce
- Pintle hitch, could be modified for a ball hitch but the pintle is more maneuverable
- Parking brake works perfectly (i.e.: when you set the parking brake the trailer will NOT move, the tires lock up tight
- Front 'stand leg thingy' works great, folds out of the way nicely
- I have never attempted to use the lights
- Frame, axle, wheels are solid, IIRC the bed has one rust through spot about the size of a quarter
- Original paint in lots of places, some surface rust as seen in the pics
- PO installed some wooden sides, I had planned to cut these off but they are still there
- PO installed wooden tailgate pulls up and detaches
My original plans had been to simply sandblast, repaint and install new bearings and use her camping.
First $300 takes her.
