No road salt or chemicals from snow areas but saltwater proximity may be harmful. If I was looking for a 100 I would not rule it out until I was able to get eyes on the undercarriage.

I'd be interested in all the 100-series stuff. Did you ever figure out the driveline vibration? Is that why you got rid of it and got the Jeep? I've got one if I go over 65 and it seems to be setting up some sort of harmonic frequency vibration as it is not just a constant vibration.

The vibration was most noticeable during heavy acceleration, then while maintaining speed up a steep hill, also when accelerating with the camper trailer attached. I had installed OME springs for about a 2" lift, and also the Slee diff drop kit. I finally decided that the issue was the angle of the front drive shaft angles with respect to the front diff changing under the above conditions, all of which will raise the front of the truck. Dave Lawrence mentioned that he had heard of others which had suffered the same symptoms. So I think every 100 series part I am selling is the result of trying to find the source of the problem. And yes, I did buy the Jeep to get away from that issue. And the Jeep has surprised me, as I have had no issues at all. Unless you consider the visual issues of fit and finish.

Could be, I like the overnight trips with on the trail camping. Do plan on getting back into fly fishing. Have lots of things to do on the house. Going to firing range today. Giving a FJ55 that I have lost interest in to my son, and am installing a tulrbo on the BJ and restoring at least one FJ45 pickup which will include fuel injection.

My vibration is more pronounced when I am towing something. I've considered maybe I've got too much grease in a slip yoke and it has hardened up to one side and made the shaft go out of balance. But I haven't had any time to take them off and investigate. The U-joints all seem very tight. I grease the entire driveline about every 5k miles or when I hear the slip-yoke clunking but I bought the trick with 92k miles so I don't know its history before that.

I would try air bags and see if you can get hitch height back to what is without trailer and see what happens. You can spend a lot of time and $$ chasing ideas.
