hey any of you guys looking to upgrade your rig fridge? i'm looking at needing to buy a fridge in the next few weeks. right now i'm leaning towards a new waaco 50, but i figured i'd see if anyone had something they wanted to sell in that range before i pulled the trigger on new. ARB, engel, waaco, etc. Half the price of the other posh name brands.

You really can't go wrong with one of these. I've had mine for almost 2 years now running constantly in my garage with absolutely no problems. I've also taken it many places, and while heavy to move around a lot, it is just awesome.

Have you had a chance to use it on the trail on hot days to see if it can maintain the temps inside?

I haven't had it in the New Mexico heat in the truck. But I did use it camping for a few days when we had our heat wave here in Chicago and up at Alpine Valley for a DMB concert. Never had any problems. Everything cold and dry just like an Engel or Waeco.

It really is a steal for the price. There is a thread on ExpeditionPortal.com that discusses fridges and this one has a few more reviews.

I bought mine open box (for a small discount) and then added a three year warranty through Compact Appliance and I still ended up right around $380-$400 for everything. I think the price went up a bit when people started seeing the value in it.

Anyone looking for 62 parts? I'm getting ready to buy a roach for a couple things and was hoping someone could use something. Front axle complete, rear axle complete, auto trans, t-case, 3fe supposedly turns over, glass, old school con ferr rack (small one), etc. There isn't a good body panel on it and the interior is thrashed. Make offers

Call or text 5oh five six oh four 73 nine three -Chad

If it has the a black steering column and keys I would be interested in that, and the power steering box...also does a 62 have a parking brake on the rear axel?

I don't remember the steering column color, but it should have at least one key. The rear drums have the park brake incorporated on the 62, you want the whole axle or just the brakes? I'll have this thing towed to my house Friday, you interested in pulling your parts?

if it makes 'em cheaper...yes!

Let me know on the steering column assembly color, some were brown and some were black.

was the power steering box available?

I am planning to run disks in the rear, so will probably opt for a aftermarket t-case parking break

There is an FJ62 at the Pick-n-Pull on Broadway.
