I'll go drive it next time I get to Deming - hopefully next week. With the extras it has it is an excellent buy for someone who wants to build one, if it's in good shape.

Steve, thanks that would be great if you could. He's definitely interested in this one, but has decided not to pursue the tan '76 on the base after talking to the owner on the phone. I'll PM you too.

No turn signals on the fenders either. Good catch on the doors.

Frankencruisers aren't necessarily a bad thing if done thoughtfully and with attention to detail. I mean really, almost all our rigs have some "Franken" in them. But no front turn signals or side marker lights screams "run away".

And then there's this one...

1971 Toyota Land Cruiser//Must SEE the Pics

Really hard to tell what's up here. Steering column is not stock and 71's did not come with a roll bar. Biggest concern I see from the photos is the shackle lift. Reminds me of Ashworth's rig when he first got it...

Too bad they won't sell it to anybody in the US, Canada or the EU.

Yep - they'd *sell* it to you - aka take your money... You'd just have to go get it...

I'm still dreaming about a BJ74...

If you're still reading this then you know what it is and I would love to talk cruisers with you. Feel free to call 505-459-7900. Thanks in advance for your interest, LeRoy.
Sounds like he just wants to talk. He never mentions anything about selling it or what it would cost if someone wanted to buy it.

It's in the classified's section here, and the 45 classifieds. Dad and I saw it up here this weekend, and chatted with the owners. They are from South Africa and travelling through the US, but are just going to sell it before they fly out of the US in a few months. According to the classified section here, he's lowered the price to 12.5K.

It has a little rust in the body, but nothing crazy. And the engine sounded really healthy, as well as pulled the truck up the hill out of the coffee shop really well.

If I was in the market for a Troopy right now, I'd give this one a serious look.

or if you have a h55 you want to get rid of cheaply (<$400)
