Fs: '86 Fj60, Co

'86 FJ60. 179K miles. Silver. No rust, straight body. Paint intact but clearcoat flaking off. 32" Dunlop MT's w/less than 1000 miles. Clean interior, save for rip on outside bolster of driver's seat. New clutch & rear main seal, Valve adjustment, Carb rebuild, refurbished distributor, new spark plugs, new starter. No oil leaks, small power steering leak, good compression. Receipts to show all work.

Has HAC valve issues & consequently lost timing moving up to Winter Park, CO @ 9000ft altitude--so it won't start without a pullstart, and is currently making very little power.

Winter Park/Fraser/Granby CO.

Clean truck, no joke. Just needs a little TLC to get it running smoothly again. Bought it about 14 months ago from this forum. I just need a more reliable vehicle that's cheaper and easier to keep running.

Must sell. $2500/OBO. Tow part of price?

depends on what you got =)

if its just for a project, i'd entertain anything reasonable. if its for a driver/project that is/can be inspected, etc, its a different story.
not trying to be vague or smart, but i'm open to anything reasonable. i've been looking for a few years, and havent really come across anything that is within my reach (including location, condition, and/or pricetag)

i've found a few project trucks around PA that might be possible, but i'm still looking for that right one :)
my only problem is i'm looking for a diesel. if not a diesel, a truck that i can make diesel. only problem with that is locating a diesel engine that is within my price range. i've found a few older nissan engines, but im not sure if they are strong enough -- the reason i'm looking for a complete rig that i can drive (either diesel or gas)

hit me up an email if you like ... or anyone for that matter

thanks and take care,

Is $2500 in the reasonable ballpark for this truck? I unfortunately paid a lot more for it and have also sunk around $2000 into work and parts on it.

?s

so....f or 2f? I'm confused....any other pics of the body...I mean is it pretty much a wheeler and crumpbled? thanks

Center diff lock is different than a rear diff lock. Center diff lock just makes it a conventional 4wd instead of full time 4wd. All 91-92's had this stock I believe.

Looking for a decent FJ40 project in PA

Anyone have one for sale? It must have a clean frame. NO ROT!! The body is a different story. I'd like to keep the body on the frame, but living smack dab in the rust belt, that's asking alot. Lifted or not, I don't care. Send pics to eatpoo2@comcast.net. I'm looking to spend $1500-$2000.

Nearly so. Most vehicles with full time 4 wheel drive don't have a lock for the center differential so it's a nice plus over the norm. But center lock doesn't lock either the front or the rear differentials. You're right, Doc, that the earlist FJ80's have the center lock as standard equipment.

oops, sorry about that. i got blinded by the price i think. sorry again

landcruiser

Do you still have the 55 for sale and were the knuckle turned on the axle when they did the SOA thanks
