uhhh, dude

you can bring troopys into any port, as long as they meet your :princess: import laws. 25 years, ya' poor bastids.

if you do a little research, you'll be shocked to find out how over priced getting an already landed truck really is :flipoff2:.

but, can you really put a price on someone elses time and effort, for $17500... i guess you can:rolleyes:

it's not rocket surgery:D

seems like most threads about importing are for importing into Canada. I have not seen any about importing into the ol' us of a. Maybe I'll look some more..

FS: FJ62, or trade for FZJ80 (93-97)

Edit: NOW CONSIDERING OUTRIGHT SALE, $6500 OBO.

Looking to trade a 1990 FJ62 Gray/Gray for an FZJ80, locked. A 1997 CE or 40th would be the ideal condidate, but any >92 & <98 in great condition and mileage will do. Preferably white exterior(if not the CE or 40th), but will entertain anything but the green or burg ext.

FJ62 has 190,000 on the clock but rides and pulls like mint. Lots of receipts and records from previous owners. (Comp 160,152,157,157,150,155) Near perfect interior and exterior except for the newly acquired scrape down part of the pass fender against a branch. More details if interested. Contact me robert AT southernrecording DOT com.

Truck was bought in Denver 1.5 years ago, inspected by Slee, and has been in Atlanta since.

Pics available at request...

I thought the taco TRD with the locking diff would be a nice truck and a good run around truck. Maybe I am wrong... and no on the trade for the OME. I love the LX450 , just not sure if I am going to ever get to use it.

Making progress

Hi again,
Am now scouting a '94 FZJ 80 in my neighborhood, price matches kbb's, 8.5 grand with 127k miles, seems to be a mall SUV, without leather and clean carfax. Looks like a bargain to me, what do you think?

I have a few ?'s.

Which tranny?
x-fer?
how was the SOA done?(cut and turn or just welded perches)
column or floor shift?
lockers?

I'll chime in....

The SOA was done using my axle...that was under my 55 for a few years...it drives and handles great even with 36" tsl doing 80 mph - no kidding. It was a cut and turn....

I think there is a rear locker in it...

4 speed tranny and t-case...good running, wheelable truck, just Tim is a pu$$y and can't handle the pressure of driving a 55 :grinpimp:

I bet he's going for a 40 next, huh Tim?

bump - price reduced to $5k

Salvaged Title?

Fj55

I can tell some stories about this 55............she used to be mine!!!! I installed the four speed tranny and transfer it came out of a 76 FJ55. The engine in this truck ran great- as much power as any of the 2F powered cruisers I've owned. (and own). I still remember the day a groundhog fell out the underneath going up a steep grade in my backyard!!!! It was indeed a good running truck for me and I can say the drivetrain was very strong. 1991 FJ80 Beige 175k Must Sell quick

I am looking to trade this rig in on saturday. Car is very clean and within the last 100 miles has had a coolant flush, replaced all belts, oil change, differential oil changed. Also had a brand new alternator 3000 miles ago.

I hate to give it up but I need something more practical because I am traveling a lot in my new job.

If you are seriously interested let me know and I will send pictures over. I really need to sell this by saturday however because it is going to be part of my down payment.

Dealership offered 3,500 to trade so any offer above that will take it.
