I am the guy with 60 parts in Vermont. your choices are, not much rust but a dent which will need fixing or something, or a rusty but not as rusty as yours. But the best route is to come and take a look. it is also possible to fix the one you have with a welder, bondo and time.
I am in Royalton, am around most evenings and weekends. it will take about 10 minutes to pull the tailgate. cheers

What else you got? I need a 60 (manual crank, if there is a difference?) driver door glass and maybe a couple doors if you got 'em CHEAP, otherwise i will have to wait....

1984 FJ-60 some rust as can be expected on east coast rig of this age. Mechanically very sound have spent close to 5K on various improvements and maintenance. Shoot e-mail and I could send all particulars. All work was done by 4X4 Connection in Winchester VA. They are Landcruiser specialists. And yes madison va is about 30 minutes north of charlottesville.
WANTED: FJ60 in CO area/Will trade
Seeking a clean, relatively solid FJ60 in the CO area. Will travel within a reasonable 1-state radius if I find the truck I'm looking for. No major mods necessary, looking for a stocker/light mod without too many MAJOR repair needs or huge problems. I'm moving from Denver to the mountains, so I am seeking a daily driver that can cart me around Crested Butte w/something resembling reliability. I know these aren't the most practical daily drivers, but if it can get me around a small town and onto the trail without daily catastrophe, I'll be happy.
Ballpark budget around 5K w/wiggle room. How much truck can I expect in this range?
Also looking to unload my '98 Honda Civic Coupe +spare set mounted Yokohama snow tires + Thule Rack. 120K miles. Rock solid car mechanically--I've run Mobil 1 oil since I bought it at 25K, so she's got a LOT of miles left in her. All scheduled maintenance performed. Cosmetically a few rough spots; 3rd gear synchro's a little worn. Stilll get upwards of 38mpg highway. 11 gallon tank cheap to fill. (boy will I miss that) Takers on a trade/partial trade?

94 LC in Charlotte area
Hey Southern.... For the first time, I have considered selling my 94 LC. I bought it last year .. it had been a mall car ... don't think it had ever been off road. I put an ARB front bumper on for deer ... never saw a dear afterwards...
The car is in execellent condition, runs great...just got back from a drive from Charlotte to Nova Scotia and Newfoundlad last week... got about 17.5 MPG running interstate speeds with AC on. The LC has the CDL switch on the dash, but does not have "lockers". Also, the EGR CE light is on... the local dealers just do not know how to turn it off ... so what the heck.

Guess I should also say that it has 138,000 miles, is the tan color, has leather, sunroof, cruise control, power windows, locks, remote key entry ..roof rack, cd player (which doesn't work very well), power antenna ... what else...? ... really should detail it if I put it up for sale .. it has been driven daily ... very little off road, but some gravel/dirt roads.

I've come to the realization that I just don't have time to fix this cruiser up the way I really want to. I'm working on restoring a 150 year old house and really don't have time to finish both the cruiser and the house before winter.

Between the cost of the cruiser, parts, and registration I have well over $1000 into this project over the last few months and I would like to at least recoup that.

Stuff I haven't done
- the horn doesn't work
- Parking brake does not work (needs a lever and cable)
- Needs a taligate
- few elec. shorts in rear lights
- Oil pan leaks
- Sometimes the transfer case won't go into 4 lo
- Shocks feel pretty stiff
- Tires are getting worn out
- Quite a bit of body rust and bondo (rocker panels are cut out and temporarly replaced with 4x4)
- Frame isn't as bad, rusty but not shot
