As the title states, any recommendations for reasonably priced fog light replacements? I'm getting a Victory front bumper, so need a 3"x3" size. Been looking at the Diode Dynamics offerings, and wondering if they're worth the price, and worth the extra price for the Pro's. What's everyone recommend? Will also throw a 20" light bar in there, so any experiences welcome. I've use the cheap, Amazon light bars in the past. They were more light than nothing, but both of mine let water in. Most useage would be deserted highways at night rather than nighttime offroading.

I have a Diode Dynamics stage series lightbar in my bumper and I am glad I paid the extra vs the cheap stuff from Amazon. I haven't used their fog light/ditch light pods but the lightbar definitely creates a lot of useful light and matches the driving/flood combo pattern graphic on their website. I've only had it installed for a couple of months but it's been through rain, carwashes, mud holes, etc and no issues so far.

My experience with the cheapo LEDs has generally been that they don't make useful light for driving. They can work fine for stuff like rock lights or lighting up a campsite but they don't actually throw light down the road.

Street legal for street use. Great lights!

That is normally the case but lately the technology start to catch up. I bought some cheap light from eBay and it actually blew my expectations. I like it more way more than my BD Squadron Sport and S1. Both are not street legal. They are really bright but got no cutoff.

This thing cost 1/4 of my other light but deliver way more usability to me. The amber got pretty good cutoff although they are not SAE rated. The white high beam throw light pretty far and bright too.

+1 for Rigid. Used quite a few of their lights and they are top quality.

I love these. Bought on Amazon. Don’t know how to post the link. Great pattern. I run them on all the time and have not pissed any on coming cars .

Diode dynamics has my vote. However they are slightly larger than 3”x3”. I once compared them to the Baja Squadron’s, which were a hair smaller. If I recall, the Diode Dynamics 3” offering comes in closer to 3.3”. Just make sure you measure or confirm with the vendor before buying.

One of the things I have not been able to figure out is how to figure in the cost of the units VS the life of the units. The Led bulbs fade continuously as they are lit or used.
I have experienced the dimming of my various led lights over the years so I just figured I would buy less expensive units and replace them more often .

Are the lights for driving or proximity lights when camping?
If they're just for proximity, I'd just go cheap.
For driving, I'd be looking at reviews.

I get that. I would give these lights a 10 out of 10. They have a perfect pattern.

I appreciate everyone's input for sure. Wow, anywhere from $20 to $1500 for lights. Crazy range. I tried to split the difference and went with the Diode Dynamics. I think I'm into it $300 for 2 combo 3" lights, and a 20" combo pattern light bar. Could have spend 1/4 of that, or 4x that,. I went with white instead of yellow for the fogs. We rarely have fog or rain here, like a handfull of times/year. But I do drive on some lonely, dark roads and am looking forward to lighting. it. up! Already upgraded the high beams to 9011 halogens, and the low beams to LED's. We'll see when the bumper gets here (supposedly "in production" whatever that means these days :meh:). All of this is WAY better than my two 100 series, which I always considered as having abysmal lighting for the price of the rigs. Even the 80 with the Slee harness was barely adequate.

I'd just order the bumper without light holes and be done with it. If Victory cannot do that, I would look elsewhere. A clean set of headlights on these trucks is more than enough lighting. Unless you are rock crawling with a spotter every weekend, or racing baja, I see no need for any aftermarket lights on most vehicles.

Additional light is always helpful out in the wilderness. I mean we’ve got what at least 50+ years of people adding extra lighting to their rigs? Seems as though most people like extra light who go off-road in any capacity. Plus headlights aren’t really designed for low horizontal light like fog/ditch lights are and throwing a spot farther than your brights for pitch black backroads and trails is also quite beneficial.

Yeah. I have a Rigid light bar, 2" spot/flood, and have had plenty of other lighting setups... so I'm not lacking experience, and to each their own. What I'm saying is I would not buy any of them again for any modern vehicle.

50+ years of technology has also led to a hell of a lot better factory lighting in vehicles, especially in the last two decades. Prior to that, yes, sealed beam trash lights left a lot to be desired.

Unless you're going 40+ MPH down a trail, or headlighting deer... spot lights are kinda stupid IMO. They aren't legal on highways, no aftermarket lights are, and headlighting deer is also illegal.

That being said, I find I use it more often to flash dipshits whose high beams are on, OR dipshits whose low-beams are so far out of adjustment they look like high-beams.

If you're rock crawling at night every weekend; light that bottom up. For the other 95% of us this stuff is a complete waste of money that looks cool and is fun to play with and that is the real reason people pay for it. Completely uneccessary like most mods. :)

I disagree. The OEM lights on the 100 series suuuuuuuucked. They were embarrassing for a $60K vehicle. The halogen low-beams in the 460 weren't much better, even when correctly aimed. Mine doesn't have the HID's, I can only assume they're better. I'm aware of road legalities, and what I purchased are legal beam patterns. I also drive a lot of deserted highways and roads, and have yet to ever say to myself, "self, that's just too much damn light, shut 'er down..." Plus, with the bumper trim I lose the OEM fog's, and I desire to keep that functionality, but you do you, man.

I felt I was always out running the headlights on both my my 100 series and my wife's. +1 for after market lights!
