2F - FSM says to "lightly oil the Flywheel bolts and heads" before installation and torquing.

I've generally used loctite on other trucks I've done...

Do you guys use Loctite? And Red or Blue ?

And I've got new bolts.:D

S.

Once had a flywheel bolt back out so I now make sure that I use a bit of blue loctite on installation. I think with the instance in which I had bolts back out I had forgotten to loctite 'em.
clutch carnage 2.webp

I *always* Blue Loctite 'em.

I did loctite. don't recall which flavor.

I've never used anything less than red on flywheel or flexplate bolts.

Ok, thanks guys, for the replies.... Think I'm going to use Red Loctite. Have to use air tools to remove, but better than having a bolt come loose.

I don't locktight anything. Just tiorque and oil (clean threads to begin with..)

Mace, speaking from experience you better loctite EVERYTHING on you class 11 car. I had loctite/permatex as a sponsor when I ran my class 11 and I know their products helped me win races.
