Looking good...

Well done

Sent from outer space via my mind

Uh oh. All body work is done. I worked from 7-7 with no break working on the body to get the flash rust off the bare metal spots and to finish all patches. I am now primering all of the parts starting with the Tub last night.

Ppg mp170 epoxy primer. 2-3 coats of Ppg mp 282 high build.

Where did you get the sheet metal?

if you notice, all of my patches have been white. I have a a couple 16 gauge florecent light fixtures that have been extremely helpful. They also have rounded 90 degree bends in them which allow me to use as the basis to hammer and dolly to replicate the seams.

That's very resourceful of you. I've also heard that the shells of old washers and dryers are excellent material for patching sheet metal. They're also 16 gauge.

Your truck looks great. Did you decide to order the SOR weatherstrip kit?

Thanks! If anyone needs some, I am practically done and have two of these fixtures to work off of. They are just going to scrap when I am done.

After all of those responses in my thread, Im 99% on the SOR stuff. I'll pull the trigger once I have the sides painted and ready for install. I'll probably drive it one week with the top off and a Hoodie on, while I wait for the order to come in. I need to stop by my Toyota dealerships and see what my special prices are going to be on all of the weather stripping for the front doors. (I worked there in college) There is always the chance that I might go Factory. I have the factory ambulance door gaskets NIB ready to go on my new doors.
