Anyone run these with 285s on their GX470? Pictures? A friend will basically give me a set since he moved to 35s on his 40. Thinking we'll mount them and see what needs to be addressed rubbing wise.

those wheels are available in 17 though....

Take em and try if he's going to give them to you. Worst outcome is you can't run them and then make them into a garage sculpture for a decade...

Yup, they're 17s...

I'll have a set in hand tomorrow...they are 17x7.5 with (edit: 4.75) inch backspacing / +15mm offset.

They are for my FJ60 (with spacers), but I could test fit on the GX, if necessary (?).

Please post a pic mounted on the GX, would love to see how that turns out. Aside from the weight, steelies are darn cool.

No tires on 'em...but they bolt up fine, clear the calipers, etc...

I was wrong on the backspacing above - FJC steelies are 4.75" BS, as measured by me today. +15 offset is still correct.

Stock wheels are also 17x7.5, but closer to 5.25" backspacing (+25 offset).

I'd say the steelies would look great at around -10 offset on a GX, using a 1" spacer.

They fit with no rubbing! OME 885/895 with SPC UCAs

Love it, looks awesome. What is the weight on those steelies compared to the stock aluminum?

Edit: Google says steelies between 28-32 lbs...

That would make a great rim as my spare under stock location. I’m gonna look for one used and put a 255/75R17 tire
