Fj80 3FE oil pump gasket***

Hi everyone,

I’ve done some digging and so far have not found any suppliers that offer oil pump gaskets for the FJ80 3FE oil pump? If anyone has a source/part number for this I’d greatly appreciate it. If someone knows of a work around I’m all ears as well.

I purchased and replaced the oil pump however it did not come with a gasket… weird I know but true.

Which gasket specifically? Looks like there's one gasket for the oil pump strainer flange and another (2 required) for the oil pump outlet pipe (union).

I need the gasket located between the oil pickup tube and the oil pump. I already called toyota dealership and the local parts stores in my area who all say they do not stock the part. I did a search online and did not find anything that looks trustworthy either.

You said there are two gaskets? I only saw one when I took everything apart. Am I missing a second gasket as well?

There's a flange gasket (circled in red) and then there are two thin copper washer type "gaskets" for the pipe union (see diagram below).

So I’ve done a hunch of searching both locally and online.
Does anyone know of a company that sells the flange gasket for the 3FE oil pump?

I can't think that a piece of gasket paper would not do just fine for this application.

That said, I do NOT know of a vendor for this gasket.

@kangjinsoo that gasket shape and size appears relatively common so there may be another gasket from another model that will fit.

A parts guru like @OGBeno may know of a substitute


One option if the old gasket is in pieces you can trace the flange (see video below) and make your own gasket:

Also take some measurements:

Total length and width (largest width)
Distance between (center of) the mounting holes
Diameter of the mounting holes
Diameter of the center hole
Thickness of the gasket

You can order the type of gasket material needed (compatible with Oil, Coolant, Gasoline) and cut (reproduce) a new custom gasket using the old gasket or flange as a template. Karropak fiber is often used for exposure to oil, coolant, gasoline.

Felpro sells bulk sheets of various types and thicknesses of gasket material you can choose from.

Tip: do not use a liquid sealant instead of a proper gasket

Yes. Finally got to it today…
Bought hole punched to make it cleaner

Small holes are 8mm
Large center hole 20mm
Length 64mm
Width 36mm

Can you measure and post the distance between the mounting holes (ie: center of one hole to center of the other)?

I purchased some of the thicker gasket material. May be too thick but I’ll confirm soon enough. Made another gasket with some punches to get a cleaner result.

Eyeballing it from the photos above the distance looks to be somewhere around ~45+/-mm ??

Looks like 1.75” center to center each bolt hole.

Did you get the bolt hole to bolt hole measurement using the old gasket or from the flange itself (the flange hole to hole measurement might
be more accurate)?

So far what we have for a 3FE oil pickup tube flange gasket (IIRC the 91-92 FJ80 is the same as 88-90 FJ62 models):


36mm tall at the center
64mm long end to end
44 (? 45mm) bolt hole center-to-center
20mm center hole
8mm bolt holes



So with that information anyone reading this with a new oil pick-up tube flange gasket from other Toyota's (or any brand) could compare to that gasket and post up the part number if it matches. Or, find a generic gasket that matches those dimensions (or just make your own as above).

Finally got around to installing the oil pump gasket and measuring center to center on the pump studs for more accurate numbers for future references. Looks like 43mm to me.
