looked at a fj62, 88 model, with no power windows locks, i have seen a few like this. what is up with that. anybody have any ideas. it has manual windows with correct door panels for crank type windows and cloth in panel is correct for year
any ideas

from 10/87 -1/88 power windows/mirrors were an option. After 1/88 all "should" be fully powered but I ahve a customer wiht a 11/88 that is manual. <ost all manuals have thw harness in place for power. Easy swap

I like mine without all that power crap. Less gremlins to wrestle with on down the road. Plus I get a nice arm work out trying to crank the window all the way down.

I with you SCJO06 .. those are a huge problem always ..

I was told that power windows and locks were an option for the 1988 model year, however, most came with the option.

My power windows and locks are very convenient, but I am swapping them out as part of my build-up, just to make the rig more spartan.

Why the heck anyone would want manual locks is beyond me...in the 62's I've had, never had a problem with power windows that wasn't surmountable without parts purchase.

my 62's an '88, data plate say manufactured in nov of 87. only power option on it is the antenna. windows and locks powered by me..................no problem

yeah the power windows and locks from Toyota are pretty bullet proof. Super easy to fix should they ever break. I would add them if I ever came upon the stuff cheap

I converted my '88 from power to manual windows. I can't stand power windows. They are slow and I hate to have the key in the ignition to open or close the windows. Power locks are good, though, I left them on.

im with herbert,i could do without the power wndows but the power locks are a good thing when ya got 5 doors to lock!

I hate the power windows tooo .. are nice for a fancy car .. but not for off road .. I change mines from poer to manual .. and I love manuals .. on the trail.
