Let me just start out saying i am new here and i own a 1985 4runner that I'm building up. Which will be a very slow build since it going to be a diesel crawler.... i recently bought a fj62 complete rear axle and a fj62 front housing (came free with the rear axle). I've looked up prices to complete the front axle and its cheaper just to buy a complete one. They are hard to find here in west Georgia so if you have one for a good price and are willing to ship or you are close please message me.

I will even take a FJ60 front axle since the only difference should be the gears and i will just change those out

Either way putting one together or finding a complete is going to be fairly expensive. They are sought after for disc brake conversions for 40s.

I will be a little over 1,000 to build with seals, axle shafts, knuckles, brakes and third member.... I don't believe my housing has a truss. But I will take the 60 if the truss is the only difference. I will probably upgrade the knuckles anyways for high steer so I guess I won't need those

You need to find a new place to shop. www.cruiseroutfitters.com for knuckle rebuild kits. If you are doing knuckles and high steer arms all you need is a third, spindles, hubs, and locking hubs. Thirds can be had for under $100, spindles $100/pair, hubs are tougher to find, and locking hubs Cruiser Outfitters stocks new and even Amazon has them. And it would all be new versus buying used and then rebuilding to all new specs.

You can put hi-steer arms on stock knuckles. Or go with six-shooters.
