Anyone know what the wiring harness between the driver's front and the other doors is? Is this a stand alone harness or is it integrated with the regular harness?

You can just add your own "wiring harness" to your cruiser just for the door locks/windows and mirrors. You can run your own wire to feed the master door lock switch, then to each of the door locks from there. same with the window controls except you need a hot feed at each one as well.
Just keep it simple.....break it down in to seperate "Zones"
1.locks
2.windows
3.mirrors
you will be fine.

Thanks guys... that info helps alot. If you could post a pic of the parts you know are relevant I MAY have a little time next week at a pick-n-pull to harvest from a 62 (if they haven't trashed it yet). I'll get what I can... dash switch for the mirrors, wiring connectors and as much of the between doors wire as possible...
(the rust-free doors are coming from another source and will likely not have any of this extra stuff)

What fails first on the 62 doors? Window motors? locks?

Pull the 4:11 difs.

I doubt I'll have access/time... but I certainly will try...
(see the other thread I started about the pick-n-pull)

I'm pretty sure you need to change the dash harness to an FJ-62 one if you want it to plug into something factory. And that is not an option for you so I think you will have to make your own harness.

Hey WOYTOVICH, what happened with this? Did you get it to work. My wife is bugging me bad to do this.
