1989 Fj62.
The brake lights suddenly stay on when the ignition is off. Looks like it's the brake lights, not just the running lights. Pulling the "tail" fuse kills them (of course.) Chasing electrical gremlins is probably my least favorite work to do. Is there a known area I can throw my volt meter on to check for faults? Perhaps broken brake pedal switch? Bad ground somewhere?

To thank you for saving me some time poking around the truck, here's the 1/10 scale FJ60 crawler I'm building. Complete with K02s and OME shocks! I got a can of the Fj red paint to spray it with as well.

Same thing happened to me a while back. Check on the shaft of the pedal for this little rubber piece that hits the switch for the brake lights. Mine had been wallowed out so the switch was always activating the brake lights. I put some tape over it temporarily and order the replacement straight from my local dealership. Problem solved. Hopefully it’s that easy for you.

I just found a thread on it when you posted! Thank you...gonna check that now. This probably didn't need to be a thread haha.

It’s why we’re all here man, looking for answers or trying to help out. Sometimes in the heat of the moment we don’t think to search or can’t find what we’re looking for. Hopefully you can doctor up a temporary solution and hopefully that part works. That worked on my 60 but you might want to check a parts diagram to be sure it works on your 62.

Also: what body and crawler platform is that? I’ve been thinking about a new toy…
Should fit most of the 1/10 platforms out there. I think it's 313mm wheelbase. I went with the Axial SCX10 II because of the very large aftermarket but I think I'd go with the Traxxas TRX4 if I were to do it again. For even more scale, this one would be awesome with their leaf springs. The wheelbase seems too short but that might be changeable like it was on my SCX: RC4WD Gelande II Truck Kit 1/10 Chassis Kit-Z-K0060 - https://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-Gelande-II-Truck-Kit-110-Chassis-Kit_p_6900.html

Here's the body. I searched for years to find one and it finally exists now: Team C 1/10 Toyota Landcruiser FJ60 Crawler Body, 313mm - https://www.asiatees.com/display?id=210820&brand=Miscellaneous&model=All
