ok so i know some discussion has been ensued as to what will and wont fit our trucks and also where to get blades for our trucks.

I have had the same blades on my truck for a little over a year and a half now and still have my factory arms with the cool little TEQ emblem on em. well today i went for rear brake shoes at the local autozone (only ones who supposedly had em, they didnt.) and decided that since it has been raining all day and since spring will coming shortly that i could go ahead and get me some new blades. they look em up pull em and its the full arm and i show them why they wont work (doesnt have adapter for the screws like we have) so i ask for refils they go and pull em. they are supposedly a 17" blade and there are wide and skinny types. well the 17's were to short so we go back in and pull some 18's which were bigger than what was currently on the truck (guess i had 17.25's if there is even such a thing.:meh:) any way turns out the wide 18's fit grear and gave me a little more clean area on my windsheild without hitting the sides top or bottom. COOL! more visual is always a plus.

so here are the part number for the blades. and they do work great by the way. and were only $4.99 for both $5.40 after Texas state taxes (package has 2 in it)

they are ANCO blades (come in a yellow package with "ANCO" written in blue) part number U-18R (written at top of package)
and directly below the part number it says 457 mm.
below is a image of the package.

hope this helps someone later down the road if not well I tried. and this is maybe a 1/4:banana: job at best so anyone can do it.

Anybody used the Rain-X Latitude?

Any idea what fits the rear wiper?
x2 on that,i just replaced mine but it seems a bit longer coz it climbs up the the rubber along the glass.

the rear one on mine is one of the normal clip on style ones. dunno if that is OEM or not. but i will take pictures of it and post the part numbers for the replacemnt of it as well as i would also like to do it as well but i forgot today when i was at the store.

my rear one is NOT OEM as i just looked at it... but i can tell you it will take a 12" blade and nothing larger before it hits on the window seal.

I always had trouble finding 12" blades in the auto stores so I have started using 13" and trimmed the ends. Works fine.

I bought OEM front and rear blades from cruiserdan in August when I bought my rig. The rear snaps in place and refills are available from Toyota (without having to replace the entire blade). The fronts are the screw-on type, and Dan told me they do not have refills available, so the Anco ones like Fiona's wearing are the way to go.

I think the front blades from Toyota were $12-15 each.

"Anybody used the Rain-X Latitude?"

I have them on my 83 fj60 right now and i'm not impressed at all. Just leaving them on for a bit to see if they form to the winshield with time. Don't waste your money in my oprinion, and they are a bit pricey.

good to know as these are a hot topic right now.
I nearly bout em for my murder-cedes but ended up doin the regular rain-X blades instead (couldnt bring my self to pay that much when we dont see that much rain here) and i am pleased with them so far.

I have had 'em on my Suby for a while now, and now recently on the 60..... I love them. Especially in the snow and ice... It also seems like they're easier on the wiper motor... more consistent, even wipe throughout the wipe arc.

What size are you running? Im using te 18" latitude and they miss some of the middle of the dirvers side as well as the lower passenger side. Are you running the 17" ones? They just don't seem to contour well to my 60 windshield.

Maybe it's because the PO had those ANCO winter blades (they're stiff, and missed 80% of the arc.... I tried the 17" latitudes, but I didn't like how small the wipe area was - so I switched to the 18"s, and they rock. I did have to bend the arm a tad, but as long as you have sufficient pressure on the middle of the wiper blade, you're golden. Seems like there's a lot less wear and tear on the motor...

Rear wiper problem solved

I had all the same issues with hitting the window molding, One day at the local NAPA the guys wanted to try the NAPA 13" and it works great:clap:

i asked the guys at autobone and they told me a 13 was required for the rear. well i took their advice and bought bosch blade for front and back. didn't find out till a few weeks later that the 13 was too long.

I tried the Bosch 13" and it Did'nt work, the NAPA 13" works great.

When you buy the new wiper blade from the dealer does it come with the clip that screws onto the wiper arm with 2 screws?
I have been using aftermarket wipers which clip right into that but one of the clips is not holding the pin secure enough anymore so I want a new clip.
I am guessing the only way to get new clips is to buy two wipers from toyota?
That or zap straps work great:)
