Not sure if this will be plastic or metal but this will be for anyone without stock radio and without stock mounting brackets.

It will blank off the unsightly hole in your dash and you can put your single DIN radio in your console...

I guess it's about time to make a thread to inform the masses and gauge interest.

Hey Lance,

Haven't even test fitted the aluminum block off plates we made. I need to do that....

As for 3D printed replacements, no we haven't pursued printing another round in a material that hopefully doesn't warp.

There is another member (@cooney) working on a 3D printed option, I know his prototype didn't warp while printing. I'll try and find the thread and link it.

Hello Gents,

I am right behind Ian, baby boy will be coming anytime now. Probably this week or next. I bought a large 3D printer to help tackle the proof of concept for the face plate.
The final face plate assy will be 5052-AL. I will have the updated 3D printed layout later next week.

I'm going to keep replying here until I have a workable product that I can say without a doubt works in a 60 with stock radio.

The first batch of face plates warped but the radio knobs look great as well as the inclometer knobs.

Any update on faceplate?

After a few unsuccessful runs, life got in the way and my project was tabled for now.

I’m giving up on the hopes of a complete OEM FJ60 stereo. I have a faceplate in really good condition, no cracks, that I would sell for $75 shipped (to lower 48). If interested PM me and I can send pics.
