FJ60 Paint Codes

Do any of you happen to know the paint name and Toyota paint code number for the “Smurf Blue” color Toyota used on the FJ60? (Mine’s is an 87’ FJ60, if that makes any difference.)

If you are looking for the original paint code number of your cruiser, there is an aluminum plate riveted onto the drivers side of the firewall towards the top in the engine compartment. It has the model number of your Cruiser on it. Right below the model number is another long number that has brackets below the number that divide the number string into sections. On my fj62, the first section is the paint code.

BTW, the last section of that same number is the transmission--A440F in my case. I don't know what the middle sections are.

Mine is going to be Ford Tractor Blue, keeping with my build it cheap mentality $30 a gallon and only a couple of shades off, stay tuned coming summer 2009

Thanks for the guidance guys. The link that sl33py provided was very helpful. Slcfj62, I plan to check my under-hood VIN plate when I get back in town on Monday to verify the code. (VIN plate layout is the same for both the 60 and the 62, isn’t it?)
