FJ60 options

Saw an 87 '60 this weekend that had a couple options I had not seen before. Not being that familiar with 60's, I was wondering if these were common items.

The '60 had headlight washers and the non-folding mirrors. Are these normal for U.S. models?

Headlight washers, yes.

The mirror is not OEM, AFAIK.

Mirrors may be OEM in OZ. Headlight washers stock on '84 & later.

headlight washers in the US started in 82 I think, ended when 62 came out in 88.

Mirrors might be Toyota but were not an option for the US 60's

that must be a re-paint, drips around the edges and the lower panel in the front is black not red.

I had a buddy with an 87 with those same mirrors. They say Toyota on them, and if they are to another application, they sure fit the 60/62 well. Id like to find a set myself.

My '87 has those mirrors and the headlight washers. Both were stock from the factory.

which country is the 60 from? as I am almost positive those were not install at the factory, they "may" have been a port install(like gulf states) or maybe a dealer install, but they are not show as a factory option in the US.

It's an '87 and originally purchased in Florida. I am the 2nd owner, owned it since '93. When I purchased it I had a long talk with the owner regarding any mods. or any work done on the vehicle. At that time it was 100% factory. LC was purchased as a family vehicle, and he bought it off the floor, as is, no special options or anything and he never did anything to it. It was 100% stock when I purchased it.

Perhaps you're correct about it being a regional thing. I'm in Florida and I've seen several LC around Florida with those mirrors. In fact, I'm pretty sure that most of the pre-88s I see around here have those mirrors.

actaully........those roof racks on the 62's are in the parts fisch or the dealer computer, pretty sure I pulled them up in the past, same units the canadian 62's got.

My 84 FJ60 is an 'original' Florida model, has the headlamp washers but doesn't have those side mirrors. I sure wish it did!
