thanks dr_dobro..venezuela have a lot of jungle trails..salto el mono..Canaima...etc. thats why you guys use military tires old tread cos its better for jungle roads,,,,,tall and skinnies rule the jungle..dont remember where i read that, but its truth.. i dont nkow if i can put a link to youtube web site here with a nice short video of canaima venezuela,,any way thanks to all the members for your replays here....Jose.

I went a few month ago to Canaima in Venezuela and we used 9.00 militarry tires ...they were far supperior than those michelin. Just for the record, we had to inflate those tyres to 80 psi to prevent a flat! mud is so tough it gets in the rim bed.... you MUST over inflate!

These tires have that the braking ability of a bicycle tire on pavement.

The new michelin sizes is 255/100-16 and they still sel them in europe.
Other hot 9.00-16 tires like the old army track are the Simex

Diesel 60 y un fj60 regular. Uno tiene un pequeño elevador de grillete solo para despejar el 9.00 x 16. el marrón está en SOA. Solo publico esto aquí para otros miembros que aman los skinnies y NDT. Iré a SOA en mi 87 60 con 9.00 x 16 Military... pronto.
