Tucker is a lot closer. The one off my 77 has been sitting in my shed for 15 months since I put the soft top and doors on. Think I should keep it, then think I'll never use it.

Someone from UK ( or somewhere esle) know if that kind of gauge is disponable in the UK ? My brother work there and I hope he can bring back one...

PS : I someone know (UK) ... how much and part # ..???

Dave, make that two!
(Depends on the price)

My KZJ-70 has the exact unit shown in the first picture in this thread. Three gauges from left to right: altitude, roll, & pitch. My truck is spec'd for the UK market (RHD but with speedo in MPH and odo in miles) and is 12volt. I like the altimeter; however, the pitch and roll functions of the inclinometer are not really useful because they actually lag behind in what they display--much like aircraft instruments. I'm not about to take it off, but I don't really find it that useful.

Laptop/GPS help! - also posted in Chit-Chat

I also posted in Chit-Chat, but since I will be doing a write-up on the install for the 80's section and I know some of you dont "cruise" the chit-chat section, I posted here as well ..... hope thats ok???

Ok, so I have been working on getting a GPS/Street Mapping system installed in the 80. Laptop+Delorme reciever and software+Lilliput touchscreen (thanks Davegonz) =

BUT .... I have a problem, the old IBM Thinkpad I picked up wasnt running so hot, so I tried to wipe the hard-drive and reinstall Win 98 but I couldnt even get it to reboot? It had fallen off the table earlier in the evening and figured that knocked something loose, cracked it open and end up finding out its a Pentium II and not a Pentium III like the case says Now, not only doesnt it work, but it wouldnt run the software or Win 98 with the P-II anyways.

Does anyone have a Pentium III laptop they dont want any longer .... even one with a broken screen? (Since I will be using the Lilliput) or have any suggestions? I have already maxed out what I can spend on this mod so the $$ is tight and I didnt see anything cheap enough. Ideas?

Did you reformat the disk? Reinstall Windows? Or is is a non-starter?

If you wanted to make it a project, you could get a single board computer (SBC) with an on-board HD, and built a ruggedized unit that mounts out of the way... like behind the dash, or in the glove box.

Toyota Canada has locked the door on any parts that are not on the NA parts catalogue. this came down last week across Canada (and i suspect the USA)
cheers

Probably as a reaction to the significant number of JDM and Euro-spec Land Cruisers coming through. This is the same reaction BMW and MB took in the 1980's, and one of the main reasons why US importation laws got so restricted.

Need 60 series body parts in color 4E9 (Tan)

Looking for a passenger side fender and both doors in color 4E9...maybe a hood as well....
