Still trying to figure out......

Mr. Dumas,

What does cold have to do with it? I mean in Canada, you might need an oil that is better suited to colder weather than maybe here in Utah. But, the wear is still the same, right? Until oil pressure is built up, the motor wears for just an instance.
And you would want to do your homework right? But, does that mean traveling to a state where it might be a needle in a haystack trying to just find a 3B let alone, a great 3B. You might never hear the motor run. But if it was local, you could. Canada has alot of them. You would have better luck finding a decent one there.

And lastly, people may have took over your thread. But you started it with some pretty lame statements about cold winters in Canada versus Michigan and how Canadians abuse their vehicles. Just wanted to clue you in, it happens in the states too. I used to be one of them until I learned from experience how to treat my vehicle right.

So I ask again, Mr. Dumas what does cold have to do with it?

1965 Windshield parts

Was wondering if anyone had any windshield parts? I need parts for the flip out vent. I am missing the connections from the wormgear to the actual vent. Let me know if you have any of these parts.

So how much for both shipped? and what is SOR? I'm still green in this forum.

Looking for Pre 1974 Hard Top in MT

Hey all, I am in Montana and I 've realized that it is way too expensive to ship hard tops so if anyone has a hard top for sale or trade within 500 miles of Yellowstone National Park, please contact me at srestum@yahoo.com. Thanks, Scott

Need FJ80 toolkit please.

Like it says, I need one shipped to CA 95123. Anyone out there?

70 carb accelerator cable plate.

I have a 70 carb but looked tonight to discover missing the plate the accelerator cable connects to. Anyone have one? Realize I may have to buy a whole carb but thought I would try here first. Also need an insulator.

The accelerator plate can be seen in pic two with the big hole in it to connect the accelerator cable.

I have a junk frame with the whole assembly. I will be gone till Friday.

I'm in SLC and "may" be interested in selling my hardtop... Its a 72' and in excellent condition... has sliding side windows, nice headliner, etc... I need to get some pics and decide for sure if I am willing to part with it.

How much are you looking to spend? Meaning, are you looking for an excellent condition one, or one that will keep the snow out?

My father works in Island Park, so shipping would be a cinch...

also have one here in Helena, but condition is probably not as good as Kurts

I'll be gone till friday

Wow, $75 big ones. I think I will find a way to lock mine in! I too was going to toss mine but figured it was kinda cool. Radio is in Tuffy so I like having it.

I've got an early-style (small opening) canister - blasted and powder coated before I realized it wouldn't fit my carb. It does have a hole drilled for a carb ... I was going to just plug it (and have OEM wing nut and gasket ... just need bolt). Let me know if you're interested (make sure which opening you need - I can send pics of both styles if needed).

I will get a measurment on the carb we are using... but I know it does not have provisions for an air cleaner stud in the middle... I wish it did as I have a pile of later model air cleaner assemblies. I would swap out the carb but this one runs great... :D

Here's a quick picture - the old style has about a 2 1/2" opening ... and the newer is almost 3 1/2" ... like I said, I've got the stuff to plug the hole if you can use it. I'd be interested in trading for those seat belts we were talking about too!
