SOR used to sell an aftermarket clone of the Toyota rear license plate holder, and while it looked identical to the original, the chromed plastic was crap. Looked great when brand new but didn't stay that way for long. I assume these ebay ones come from the same manufacturer.
But since the Toyota one is long gone - it's nice to have an aftermarket option even if it won't stay pretty for long.

you just swap the bulbs for 12V

if not, you could post in the classifieds, there is a small stock of NOS ones available.

Yup, 24v is still available new from Toyota. Just swap the bulbs. Those are the units CityRacer is selling. The part number has been posted a few times. Probably in the "discontinued parts" thread as well.

Old thread, but I'm hoping you guys would rather bump an old one than start a new one. I have an 81 FJ60, and I'm seeing some places list the license plate light as 81 having a seperate part nubmer from 82-90 and others list it as fitting 81-90. Can anyone tell me for sure if the 81 light is different or not?
