I’m assuming I will get an email shortly saying they won’t ship, hence it’s too good to be true.
Onur, as you know, having lived out here how colo charges a premium on everything! It’s sickening, worse than california! So I called the other dealership in denver and they wanted $377!!! I asked what you said to ask, ha ha, and they said sure that’s the “recommended price” and they’ve determined $377 is what they should charge.Your dealership is charging you MORE than published Toyota MSRP which is $290.48
I'd inquire as to why they are "escalating price" on you.
That sucks.
Why not just use something like Dynamat? or the cheaper brands. Should be like $30 to the whole inside of the hood double layer
Save yourself bro hahahahahahThat's great info... I was just about to line it with Dynamat and was wandering about that.
Use lizard skin.. ceramic and/or sound insulation. I'd like to do that one day, hiding it under a new OEM insulator of course
Did you use the Dynamat product designated for hoods?Absolutely do not use Dynamat directly on the underside of a hood, no way as described above is it holding up to that temperature. It's made for interior panels that aren't in direct contact with the heat
It gets hot here in the summer and i've seen it melt off even on interior panels
I wish the PO of my rig paid that close attention before he bought the generic stuffDid you use the Dynamat product designated for hoods?
Did they cancel your order yet?PSA for y'all as I had been searching for an OEM replacement Hood Insulator for some time..looked for quite a while and shipping was simply ridiculous
Insulator Part Number was 53341B and New Part Number is: 5334190A00 $207.82
Retaining Clip (17 required) Part number was 53341C and New Part Number is: 9046709014 $1.10
Shipping from Lakeland Toyota in Florida to me here in CT: $25.95
It always strikes me as odd the parts that are still available vs those that aren't. This is one of those cases.

Does anyone know the actual size of the box it comes in?
