Sorry for the giant progress delays I ended up moving so its been a pain in the ass getting all set up at my new place so its just been sitting in my shop but not forgotten! I got this cross member built and in over the last 2 days. What are your guys thoughts on it? I think it will be plenty strong but only one way to find out

Bushings on the ends for additional vibration isolation and easy drop down for maintenance.

Why didn't you put the crossmember closer to the actual mount? Seems like a lot of leverage on the crossmember with the mount that far away from the centerline.

I left it back that far for the front drive shaft to have clearance I bolted the stock one up and put the front of my mount at the same point my stock cross member was notched for the driveshaft. Does that make sense? And the mount coming out is 1/4 inch still and it has 2 pieces of the same material trussing it up

Haven't been on mud for awhile but I got my shifters moved back 3 inches and the interior 90 percent buttoned up I also decided to keep electronic injection. Unfortunately I didn't keep any of it so I am going to pick up everything I need to wire it in tomorrow morning.

40 is almost at a stopping point to drive and I need the 60 done before I go insane haha I love these things!

hey guys just an update on this project! as of now the 60 is bare again with no drivetrain, I am ending up going a whole different direction after much thinking. I will make a new thread for this build. its getting a 12valve cummins with nv4500, 14 bolt rear kingpin dana 60 up front both will be locked and armored up. front suspension is going chevy 53 inch springs with shackle reversal and it will sit on humvee wheels and tires. i have the trans t case and14 bolt. hopefully I wil have the wheels and tires this weekend and the 12v next week. the cummins will be turned up to about 800 ft pounds of torque. this should be a bulletproof doomsday go anywhere rig. the catch 22 is this build will be quick because im going to moab for a week at the end of may.

7.3 is too big. And diesel zf5s are hard to come by. I could run a 460 one with a typ4 mod done but I already have a 14 bolt a nv4500 with a np241 t case and I am picking up a running 12/valve this weekend for 800 bucks
 
What did you do with the GM diesel and tranny?

I feel lazy...been collecting 6.2 parts for three years and have done nothing; meanwhile, you've completed the swap and yanked it all within six months!

sold the 6.5 yesterday. My fresh rebuilt ranger OD with h55f is sitting on the ground looking dumb. No idea what to do with it yet. Still need to sell my loaded cruiser axles and bran new wheels and tires
 
Figured I would just continue this build on this thread. I grabbed my 14 bolt yesterday and traded the 6.5 for military wheels and some $$$

What are your plans for the 14 bolt?
Pinon armor. Thick armor diff cover. Disk brakes. And a locker. Undecided on lunch box or arb. Realistically arbs aren't cheap
