ARBs aren't cheap, that's for damn sure.

I'd recommend shaving the 14 Bolt. You can either do the Ballistic Fab insane shave (where you have to machine the ring gear) or you can pick up a 13 bolt diff cover from Barnes 4WD and just cut off the bottom 1" or so. The latter is the route I'm going:

Arb was pretty pricey. And the off road shop I get everything from says with the power it will be pushing an arb or lunch box will grenade. So got a spool for the rear coming in. And as for the shave. My thought on that is I will let the rocks to the work ;) its gonna be about 100 bucks to get the 14 bolt all nice and in the rear end. Except that's not including my ballistic fab diff cover

On that note I am also kinda skeptic on shaving off housing material and making is less beefy

How much do you intend to turn up that 12 valve?

How much do you intend to turn up that 12 valve?
12 valve is getting intake and exhaust all straight pipe. Turning up the injection pump with a new fuel pin and gov spring. And possibly a new turbo to the hx35 with a welded waste gate. Oh and fix the KDP and possibly head studs

Leaving today to get the 12 valve. New update on the build plan. The front is getting 3 linked with coilovers

We left at 3 am this morning for our 600 mile journey and ended up with a running 12 valve truck. The other 12 valve in the bed with 130 k on it. A getrag trans with t case and a kingpin Dana 60 for 1300 bucks!

You bought a running 12 valve truck, a spare 12 valve block with trans and tcase, AND a early dodge D60 for $1300? Holy crap man, I thought I found good deals!

Time to reseal it, clean it, paint it and get it in there! johnny what did you do for frame side motor mounts? i just wanna get an idea of what to build

Here you go bud. Somewhat crude, but very effective. I did not use 6BT mounts, but the Lord hydraulic motor mounts.

Lord is the company, but I don't think they're made anymore. Sometimes you can find them used or NOS, so keep an eye out on ebay, and on 4BTSwaps for new sources.

They are "hydraulic", also known as fluid filled, so they will soak up the vibrations better than a rigid rubber mount.

Hopefully getting the motor cleaned up and re sealed Saturday night. Got a bigger and better shop again so moving has been a bitch along with my truck deciding to s*** itself its been a hell week but only have one goal on my mind. Johnny do you have a pic of your KDP fix??

Unfortunately I don't have a pic of the tab in place, but I bought a KDP tab from TNDieselConversions and put it in. The bolt that's removed inside the timing cover in this pic holds the tab in.

Sweet thank you! I didn't know if you made one or bought one that's the one thing I needed to know. I appreciate it

Boots. What thickness steal is it?

If I remember right it was either computer case thickness or weight scale thickness.

So it doesn't have to even be that burly? I had it in my head it had to be kinda thick for some reason

Some guys just take a punch and deform the hole a bit. It doesn't need to be burly at all. The one I bought is just a thin finger like Mike pictured.
