More Progress

Sorry for the delay guys....getting back on the cruiser project. Been working under the hood getting things dialed in. Hoses, etc...getting ready to order a wiring harness. I've heard good things about the Howell set-up and since I'm running a TBI system they have a set-up ready to go. As far as the SOA, I've taken a leaf out of the front and rear. I like the way it sits now but would like a little more...sure is flexy...the 295's are a true 33" tire which may get the job done for now....plus, my tub still has the 1" body lift that needs to be removed now that I went with the SOA.

Overall height goal

My goal is to have the distance from the top of the tire to the fender equal to the tire sidewall height. I think that gives the truck a good balanced look. Still working on it...those stock rear 45 springs are tough...seems like you can pull a few leafs out of there and still have stability...we'll see. More pics to come..

SOA Steering

Not really----My rig has a GM Saginaw Power steering set-up, to include trail gear cross over steering knuckle arms and tie rod and drag link to match. You will need to modify your steering when you go to a SOA. There's many solutions out there but cross over steering seems to be the more common approach these days.

So I realize that this is an old thread and the original poster has not been on since 2017. I am bumping this because I would love to see where he settle with his lift and what it looks like finished. Anyone know if he had a build thread or where I can find pictures of the completed project? Thanks
