Fj45 short bed factory top question

Hi all,

I have a '65 swb truck, and have a question about the bed. It has the rounded back corners and a bevel that goes all around the sides and back of the bed. Is that bevel there to house a har or soft top? The cab is a removable cab model. I have always wanted to do a topper over the bed and am just wondering about an OEM option, as I have never seen a factory shorty topper, only on troopers have I seen hard or soft tops...

Any ideas?
