Well, I guess I have seen it coming for some time now, but I am really starting to not like fj40s. My 74 is completely neglected due to me starting to resent it. I used to have two 40's, but I sold my 73 to make room for the 45 in the garage. Now I'm thinking of selling my 74 just to get rid of it. Don't get me wrong, it's been a good cruiser... has never left me stranded, never broke a birf, but the love is just gone.

My 45 is pure evil, and pisses me off every chance it gets, but for some reason I still smile when I open the garage door and it is staring back at me.

Is something wrong with me?

I think it is the longer wheelbase ride. Even if you don't think about it, it is there in the back of your mind's comfort zone.

I love my 45's(damn only got one of each now) but no cruiser will ever have a warmer place in my heart then my 82 fj40........its just perfect in everyway, its a pure joy to drive and look at.

if I had to sell all but one cruiser I would keep the green 82 fj40.

Yes. You only have one 45 series.

I know, but I just don't have the energy necessary to devote to fixing up another 45. I know that working on it makes it feel more like it is mine, but today the only way I can see buying another 45 is if it is the condition of Pimp's LV... that might change tomorrow though ;)

I posted this on PBB:
As long as the Round-up is in March I will never be able to make it.

The MMS (Mineral Management Service) holds it's Gulf of Mexico lease block auction every year in April. That is where all of the oil companies bid on chunks of the GOM for the rights to drill for oil/natural gas. Every year it's the same thing... companies want to have the areas processed before the auction to see if it is worth dropping a few million dollars on a 3mi X 3mi chunk of Gulf. Also, companies that want to keep the blocks that they already have leased (lease lasts for 5 years I believe) need to provide the MMS proof that they are actively working in the area, so that involves me providing them with an updated dataset. Both the lease, and lease extensions make March an incredibly busy month for me... I've been putting in 12-14 hour days for the last month, and recently have had to swing by on the weekends for a few hours. I hate March, but love April becuse it usually is really laid back after the auction.

Last year the band/party was Saturday, so I drove the 5 hours each way to hang out for the night, but since the party was moved to friday night this year I couldn't make it.

But you are right that I do have more problems than space available on Ih8mud's server.
