Hi Everyone,
Firstly I like to thank anyone who could help me with getting any info with weather stripping for the fj45lv. Looking for front ,back side and all four doors weather stripping.
I believe I can get some parts from slo cruiser and crl.com. Does anyone know part numbers from crl.com that John from slo cruisers had mentioned to me that the rear hatch and seals are available thru them.
I have called carparts.com aka jcwhitney and many of the parts that were useful for the LV are gone.
I lost my LV many year ago as I had a stroke. Today a good friend of mine is willing to part his project to me at this moment. I am excited after almost 20 years I may have a chance again to rebuild another .
If anyone in the community have recommendations or seals and weather stripping that you could sell , I would be grateful.
If anyone has any recommendations of alternative seals and weather stripping to purchase please let me know.
Thank you all again for your time.

@c2dfj45 had put together a LV specific weatherstrip kit a while back. Contact him to see if he is going to assemble more kits. There were a few other LVers interested in the kit.

I did pm him. Hopefully he will have something. I am grateful to all of you.

I have 2 kits available if anyone needs one. You can PM me for price.

I finally was able to go through my receipts. I sourced all my pieces from rubbertherightway.com and Steele Rubber Products. I did not buy door seals because those had already been installed, but they are available from RRTW too (do a search on "side bulb").

For the windshield and rear side glass, my installer used the classic windshield gasket with the expansion strip. I think he said it's the same as a newer Jeep WS gasket. He just bought it in bulk.

From Steele, This is the gasket that I used for the rear glass in the hatch. It works for me but isn't the best fit.

From RRTW, I got the window run channels, and the "fuzzies" for the roll up windows, both inside and outside. Again, see part numbers and search their website for pics.

Cheers!

Chuck

Have you put the windshield in yet? Would love to see pics
Are you asking me? Yes, I've been driving my truck for ~ 3years since the WS was installed. I'm not sure if I have a closeup of the install, but can take a pic when I have the opportunity. I can say that the glass was cut new by my installer and was cut slightly smaller than the opening to align with the pinchweld instead of slightly larger to sit outside the pinchweld., which would have required an offset channel gasket in order to work properly. As installed, mine is flush with the pinchweld which allows the use of a standard, modern gasket configuration (if that makes sense). I lived this for a couple of months three years ago and was pretty immersed in it at that time while I sorted it all out.

Chuck,
What weatherstripping profile did you use for the lift gate glass?

That's the one I'm least happy with at this point. It works, but I think I can find better. Take a look at the Steele Rubber Products receipt for P/N 40-0359-99. If either the glass channel or the pinchweld channel was half as deep, it would hold it better. That said, I set it myself dry. I could pull it back out and add urethane sealant and it would probably be just fine.

I haven’t pulled my rear glass yet but have you measured the thickness of it? Chuck’s version is a tad bit tighter.

Really anyone , I used the 60-0549-99 from Steele Rubber and had two shops set it and I am still getting a leak. Wondering if I need to switch gaskets 'cause there aren't anymore glass shops to try!?

Is your glass an overlay? ...as in, is it larger than the pinchweld? If it is, then it needs an offset gasket such as you're using. My original glass was pretty scratched and crazed, so my glass guy (mobile and a family friend) cut me a new slightly smaller glass to eliminate the overlay. If I had to measure (which I can't accurately now) I'd say the glass is 1/8" to 3/16" smaller in all directions than the pinchweld. This allows the glass to be set flush inside the pinchweld with a modern expansion type gasket (purchased for a late model Jeep, but in bulk). I'd ask my glass guy, but Ray died on a hiking trip last year at 59 years old.

Here's what mine looks like.
