Are there many FJ40 guys left in ONSC? I've been away from the Cruiser scene for eight or nine years, but recently acquired an FJ40 project. I've forgotten a lot over those years, but some of it is coming back to me. Just checking to see who else is out there with FJ40s now.

Dang @R.K. that means you really have forgotten more than most will ever know LOL. Glad you're back in a 40 man!!

Any other cruiser doesn't even really count, though REAL men prefer a nice BJ.

I've got a 69 that has not moved since I bought it a couple years ago :)

R.K., here is an old thought .... Circa 1998, 1999 I pulled the 1.5F from my 40 when I started the frame-off. I gave the old motor to a Father/son team that wanted to rebuild it. My shop was in Caswell County (Pelham) and I'm thinking maybe the father/son party was you and your dad. You recall that or do I have the wrong folks?

Yes sir, that was us. I remember picking up the engine from you, but I don't recall what we ended up doing with it.

I'll never forget going to rk's when I was getting my 40 going. Couldn't have done it without him. He had several parts 40's not to mention the sweet mini's. that green 40 of yours was always one of my favorites. Glad you're back buddy. Happy birthday btw. ;)

Those were the good ole days! I sold my last two FJ40s (the green one and a stock '71) along with my parts stash back in 2008 when I was building my house. I've always had an FJ40 themed rock crawler since then though.

I'm looking for a pair of rust free late model front doors for my FJ40 if anyone has a lead on some.

Ten years ago if anyone had asked me that question I would have sent them your way!

Tell me about it! WTF?? I've probably brought the 40 to meetings more than any other 40 the last couple years!!

Actually, I got the 1/2 doors that I run on it from R.K.

Being away for a few years was going around. Can't wait to see what you do with the new project. Loved your old green rig. I'm sure Eric (@fourtrax ) remembers watching it in Tellico years ago at GSMTR.

I've regretted selling my '78 since it left the driveway and have been looking for another off and on the last year or so.

While not a 40, I may have something to share soon as well. Where I moved to in the middle of no where in Caswell, Co...a 40 is a requirement, so I'll keep looking:)

Good luck in the search Brad!! While I've never met you, I'm very familiar with Pappy (your old truck) so here's to hoping you find a truck that fills the void
