I have put together a kit to restore and upgrade the FJ40 instrument cluster. The markings included exactly replicate the oil pressure, fuel, temperature, and ammeter gauge faces. The speedometer markings can be changed from stock to compensate for the larger tires most FJ40 owners run.
The markings are matte white vinyl. The vinyl marine grade, 2mil thick, and is designed for 9 years of exterior use.
Markings are available for the following generations of the 40 series clusters:

- Mid-years (9/1973 - 1/1979): Speedometer, oil, fuel, temp, amp, and gauge labels
- Late: (2/1979+): Speedometer, oil, fuel, temp, amp, and gauge labels
The kits can be made in custom configurations. Previously produced custom configurations are:
- Mid-years 33” tires, 3.70 differentials - km/h outside, mph inside
- Late Canadian 24V BJ42 (140km/h speedometer) 35" ties, 4.11 differentials - km/h outside, mph inside
Pricing:
- Basic kit ($25): main speedometer and sub-gauge marking decals only
- Deluxe kit ($35): marking decals, orange needle paint, screws to reattach the small gauge faces, foam gaskets for turn signals and high beam lamp ducts
- Inner Speedometer Marking: $10
- Custom Markings Labor (unique, non-standard, etc): PM me so I can evaluate the project

Some notes:
- The process of manufacturing the decals is still being improved. Until I get it fully debugged, orders will be taken one at a time.
- I have reset the list of orders as of 9/18. I will update the bottom of this post with the current orders based on members that I have had a PM exchange with.
- I will not accept payment from you until your kit is ready. Likewise I will not ask for payment from you until your kit is ready. That way neither you nor I can be accused of trying to rip off one another.
- The list of new marking configurations in development will be at the bottom of THIS post along with the member requesting that configuration. Those who request new configurations are asked to help verify the markings are correct and accurate.
- Finally, I am supporting this as I am able. I work full time and my job takes priority. Order fulfillment may be delayed for various reasons, hence I will contact you directly when I can fulfill your order. Please understand that R&D work for new configurations may be at times slower than you and I desire.
